The higher the minimum wage, the more profitable it is to automate jobs. Demand for automation helps hardware people, software people, system integration people, IT people, etc.
As a libertarian, I am against the concept of minimum wage.
As a software engineer, I am for raising it.
I think automation costs a lot more than you think.

A higher minimum wage also means you can hire your best friend who is only willing to work for the high minimum wage over the stranger who is willing to work for the low minimum wage.
